Istanbul Technical University (ITU), which is founded in 1773, is the premier engineering school within the region. ITU's Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics (FAA) is the oldest and the biggest aerospace academic institution of Turkey. As to serve the managerial needs of the civil aviation sector, Istanbul Technical University with its world renowned industrial and academic partners, has founded the Aviation Institute and the M.Sc. in Air Transport Management Program.
